The Farmers' Almanac is forecasting a very cold winter for the Ohio Valley with snowy conditions.
They say the weather will be "numbingly cold" at times and there will be some significant snowstorms.
The Old Farmer's Almanac has our temperatures a little colder than normal with an average amount of snow. They are forecasting a mild December with temperatures expected to be more than 4 degrees above normal.
Our winter folklore scoreboard now looks like this.....
COLD/SNOWY: 16
MILD: 3
NORMAL: 4

i'll go with the newer farmer's almanac! forget the old one! :) lol

for our area, which almanac has the best track record?
They all have pretty good track records for seasonal averages....JB

my confidence is building about the pattern change coming..we should see signs of this over the next 7-10 days, then see drastic change around thanksgiving..if you want to shiver you probably will be by then..
