Mrs. B. is back home from the hospital this evening so we can take care of each other now. I don't think there is another weather person's spouse around the country that does so much to help out with the weather. During severe weather Lynn is either at home relaying reports off the scanner or at the station answering the phones and keeping things organized when there is a lot of severe weather going on. She has talked with CNN, NBC, MSNBC and the Weather Channel during severe weather outbreaks. During the ice storm she was probably helping out over 12 hours a day for several days and just last week during the overnight storms she was up until 5:00 AM helping out. I consider myself a very lucky person to have her at my side.
Back to the weather. Both the GFS (right) and the NAM at 18Z put in a pretty good slug moisture in here for Saturday afternoon. If this forecasts verifies.....it is possible that as the rain falls the temperature may even fall into the 60s during the rain. This is unheard of for the Fourth of July.
In the meantime, plenty of sun and warmer weather for tomorrow. Our high today of 71 tied the record for the lowest high temperature for this date.

JOHN B,
Glad to hear that. Behind every good man there is a great women.
This weather is crazy. We had a very wet June with impressive heat last week and now we have jumped to late Sept. or early Oct. weather. Do you think we will have a widespread rain event Sat. and Sunday? If so, any guesses on how much?
Thanks for your time and I hope that you have a great day.

Hope Mrs. B is okay.
Thanks for the details about her, too--I often wondered about the life of a weatherman's wife, what with you posting at 4 am during storms. Glad to know that she's right there with you, sharing the load. That's awesome!
Best to you both.
P.S. Why not introduce her on the air when you return? We'd love to meet her.

Very glad to hear Mrs. JB is home! And I agree with Scott, you need to introduce your other half to your devoted fans. I had no idea she helps you as much as she does but I think that's awesome! You two obviously make a great team. Get well wishes to you both :)

I'm glad your surgery went well and that Mrs.B is back home as well. Best wishes for a speedy recovery! This weather is crazy. I never remember wearing jeans in July and feeling comfortable outside. Do you ever remember it being this cool around the Fourth of July?

To quote William Shakespeare: "I love thee, I love but thee, With a love that shall not die, Till the sun grows cold, And the stars grow old." Lynn and John - thanks for everything. I am glad you are both well and on the mend. I'll smile tomorrow on my hike @ Charlestown SP wishing you were both able to be hiking as well - but I trust you will be soon. Take care John and Lynn..... Happy 4th.

NWS has stated that precip is now not more likely until after midnight Saturday night, do you agree? However they also say precip is going to be further north Saturday afternoon...Can you help us narrow this down?
I didn't quite understand their wording. I think storms will increase in the afternoon and evening with most areas seeing rain......JB
