Monday evening 10/22
More rain on the way. HPC has another 1 to 2 inches for tonight and Tuesday with additional rains for Wednesday.
Note the heavy rain amounts in the drought areas of Kentucky, Tennessee and Alabama.
I took this picture yesterday passing through Borden, IN in Clark Co. They were hit by a 160 mph tornado in 2004. At that time thousands of trees were flattened. You can still see the hilltops scarred by the twister. It will look this way for years to come.
Although it is not a banner year for fall color, there are pockets of brilliance. On the left, the photo was taken at the chapel on the IU campus in Bloomington. On the right is a view at Spring Mill State Park in Mitchell in Lawrence Co. Peak or near peak was occurring up that way this past weekend. We should be at peak this weekend.
